Description
The purpose of this course is to provide trainees with the necessary information to prevent injuries and fatalities such as asphyxiation, rescue attempts, and fires/explosions due to lack of knowledge of air monitoring, ventilation, and entrant, attendant, and supervisor duties. The instruction provides working background on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard and provides essential information on safety work practices.

Target Audience
This course applies to water and waste water operators that are exposed to confined spaces and / or permit required confined spaces throughout the course of their work activities. These work activities could include entering tanks, process duct work, crawl spaces, man holes, electric valves, and any other space that classifies as a confined space.
