Description
The purpose of this course is to provide the trainees wiuth the necessary information to prevent injuries and fatalities from cave-ins, rescue attempts, electrocution, equipment incidents, falls, etc. The instruction provides working background on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard and provides essential information on safety work practices.

Target Audience
This course applies to water and wastewater operators that are exposed to excavation and trenching activities throughout the course of their work activities. These work activities could include sewer line installations or repair, road repair / road work, water line repair, and any other instance in which a trench or excavation is being entered by a worker.
