Description
This course is designed for students whose job requires them to work in or around confined spaces and or open trenches. This program stresses the importance of recognizing the dangers of working in locations where being overcome by a hazardous atmospheric condition, engulfment, or mechanical entrapment is an ever-present danger. The student learns how using safety measures such as permitting and proper protective equipment can greatly reduce the hazards in these situations. Practical use of air monitoring and confine space equipment is included in this program also a site visit to an open trench maybe included if one is available. This program follows the intent of OSHA 1910.146 and 1926.650 respectfully.
