Description
Provision of a six-hour training seminar. Training shall include Permit-Required Confined Space (entrant, attendant, supervisor & non-entry rescue) in accordance with the requirements specified by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) at 20 CFR 1910.146. This course also includes use and limitations of personal and respiratory protective equipment, ropes and knots and air monitoring equipment. The student is required to successfully demonstrate the use of all above mentioned equipment and demonstrate a basic understanding of the requirements set forth in the standard during the hands-on segment of the training course. The purpose is to ensure an understanding of the following: 1. Requirements of the standard. 2. Hazards associated with confined space entry 3. Use and limitations of personal and respiratory protective equipement 4. Use and limitations of air monitoring equipment 5. Proper use of common equipment for vertical and horizontal confined space entry.

Target Audience
Persons acting as an entrant, attendant, supervisor, and/or providing external rescue for confined space work such as sewers, pits, vaults… The audience would also include persons responsible for safety programs including confined space entry.
