The course will also cover technology and site selection for flow monitoring instrumentation. Instrument installation and programming will be discussed and practiced, as well as data retrieval and analysis. A combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on excercises will be used to cover the material in the class.
Course Level
Intermediate thru Advanced
Course Content
*Open Channel Flow- Introduces participants to the terms and concepts involved in open channel flow monitoring, including hydraulics, level sensing, velocity technologies, and primary devices.
* Criteria for site selection, criteria for flow technology selection in specific applications, case studies of common and unique real world applications will be discussed
*on Programming Setup- Hands-on excercises demonstrating the setup, claibration, and installation of flow monitoring devices
* Data and site verification techniques, data retrieval methods, analysis of collected data, interpretation of data
Target Audience
