Description
The Partnership for Safe Water is a voluntary initative for enhancing water treatment to provide higher quality drinking water. The program is a four-phase self-assessment and peer review process to help water suppliers examine their water operations, maintence, and management practices to determine where improvements are needed. This course specifically focuses on the Phase IV process and awards CEUs to operators that particpate in the Phase IV process and complete the final exam. The course is largely self-guided; However, PA Section AWWA PfSW Representatives will conduct site visits to ensure the particpant are on the right track and provide directional assistance. During Phase IV, participant will address all performance limiting factors that were identified during the Phase III Self-Assessment. Demonstrate that they have addressed the parameters in the "areas of improvement" and "areas of good faith" indentified during the PEAC Assessment of their Phase III activities and brought them all into an "area of strength." Demonstrate that they are obtaining the high levels of performance by meeting or bettering the Partnership for Safe Water Phase IV Performance Goals. Demonstrate the capability to maintain these levels of performance long-term by addressing the issues of complacency/reliability. See attached "Guidelines for Phase IV"
