Description
The purpose of the course is to provide water utility operators with the most up-to-date information on common topics that water operators contend with on a daily basic - namely, water meters & maintaining their accuracy, leak detection & methods to idenify leaks before they become BIG LEAKS, and methods to integrate the utility’s meter reading sysem (AMR/AMI) with an acoustic monitoring leak detection system to constantly monitor the health & efficiency of the utility’s water distribution system.

• Meter “Rightsizing” – determining the proper meter for a specified commercial or industrial application
• Meter Testing -- methods & recommended schedules to test C&I meters to maintain their accuracy over the life of the meter
• Meter Data Logging – identifying meters that have interval data & data logging capabilities and demonstrating methods to retrieve the data & how to use the information as a system monitoring tool
• Acoustic Monitoring – how & when to apply acoustic monitoring techniques in the distribution system
