Description
Utilities are challenged every day to continue to deliver quality products, while managing the challenge of volatile energy prices, increasing energy needs, increasing regulations, and scarce water resources. Today, water loss is estimated at 10-20% in distribution systems throughout the U.S., water and wastewater utilities account for 30-40% of the electricity used by mid-sized cities and 10-20% of current energy consumption can be reduced by energy conservation and operational changes. This course will provide innovative solutions to reduce emissions, lessen waste, decrease water use, lower energy use, lower operational costs and reduce budgetary pressure all while upgrading capital assets.
