Description
The NOVA Chemicals Beaver Valley Site, which includes our PADEP-regulated drinking water plant, is regulated by the US Coast Guard in accordance with the Maritime Security Act (MARSEC). The Site is regulated under MARSEC due to our receipt of styrene via barge. All employees at the site are required to receive MARSEC-specific security training. In accordance with MARSEC regulations, American Chemistry Council, Responsible Care security requirements, and NOVA Chemicals security standards the entire site (approximately 200 acres) is surrounded by fencing and monitored by cameras. In addition, access to the site is controlled by security personnel that work 24/7. The potable water plant is located within this parameter.
