Description
This 2-hour online course describes recirculating sand filters, their applications, design and performance in onsite wastewater systems. Recirculating sand filters provide an economical choice for advanced treatment, beyond that achieved by a standard septic tank and drain field. They are particularly applicable to commercial sites and serve multiple residences. This course in based on the EPA's Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Manual, February 2002. This course is intended for designers that have an interest in better treatment than a standard onsite system.
