Description
While 94% of the Earth's water is contained in the oceans, it stores more than two million cubic miles of fresh water beneath its surface (half of that within one half mile of the surface). In this 1-hour online course, we will review the basic hydrology of groundwater, its origins, movements and use and the fundamentals of water supply hydrology. From the hydrologic cycle to the nature and character of groundwater as its goes from recharge zones to discharge points, the basic concepts and terminology are introduced in a clear and easy to read form.
