Description
Mag Meters operate on the principle of electromagnetic flow technology. With no moving parts and the ability to cover wide flow ranges, Mag Meters maintain their accuracy over a longer period of time & require less maintenance than other types of meters.
Historically, Mag Meters were only considered for industrial applications. However, with recent advances in electromagnetic flow technology & increased battery life expectancy, Mag Meters can now be applied in commercial & residential uses.
This course will present the theory of electromagnetic flow technology & how it works in Mag Meters. How Mag Meters compare to other types of metering technology. What are the proper & most effective uses for Mag Meters. And finally, how Mag Meters can be integrated with a utility’s existing automated meter reading system.
