Description
The Monongahela River in southwest PA has experienced significant elevations of total dissolved solids (TDS), organics and bromide derivatives in this surface source water. The River Alert Information Network (RAIN) and ORSANCO have collected significant data and completed studies on the source of the elevated TDS. The course will share the expertise and experience of an expert Panel on dealing with TDS, bromides and surface water such that their lessons learned may help water suppliers in other watershed basins throughout the State prevent or react to similar water quality issues to their source water.
