Description
Employers shall protect their employees from hazards by assessing the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present. Employers shall try to eliminate or reduce hazards through the use of engineering or work practice controls. When these controls are not feasible or do not provide sufficient protection, employees shall wear personal protective equipment (PPE). The purpose of this training is to provide a basic understanding of common public entity workplace hazards and the proper personal protective equipment to reduce employee exposure to these hazards.
