(5hr upd2011) - Pretreatment is the reduction of the amount of pollutants, the elimination of pollutants, or the alteration of the nature of pollutant properties in wastewater prior to, or in leiu of, discharging or otherwise introducing such pollutants into a POTW. Many wastewater systems are dealing with pretreatment especially if they have an industrial user. This course is designed to educate those operators on all the aspects of pretreatment.
