This course was designed at the request of Pennsylvania American Water to address three key safety areas of concern for their personnel: Investigative Research and Photography for Accidental Utility Line Hits; Confined Space Training and Power Saw and Power Tool Safety.

Course Content
This course consists of three modules designed to provide attendees with the necessary information to improve safety and reduce risks in three key areas: investigative research and photography for accidental hits, confined space and portable saw and power tools. Module 1: Investigative Research and Photography for Accidental Hits (2 hours) This module provides attendees with the necessary information to understand: 1. The requirements of Pennsylvania One Call 2. Responsibilities of facility owners and excavators related to properly marking underground utilities to prevent injuries, property damage, and loss of services and 3. Accidental hit response and documentation. Module 2: Confined Space Training (1.5 hours) This course is designed to ensure client personnel who work in or near confined spaces are knowledgeable of: 1. Confined space entry standard 2. Written entry permits 3. Entry team responsibilities 4. Types of atmospheric testing 5. Emergency response Module 3: Power Saw a

This course is designed for all levels or operators and plant personnel involved in: line repairs; confined space entry, and those who operate power saws and tools.
