Description
This course covers the principles and applications of various types of bearings including plain journal, ball, and roller bearings. Included are explanations of installation, inspection and repair of bearings. The student will be introduced to specialized bearings, including powdered-metal, nonmetallic, and hydrostatic bearings. Bearing seals, lubrication, and maintenance practices will also be covered.
