Description
Effluent total nitrogen, discharge requirements are in effect for many wastewater treatment plants. Often, these requirements become more stringent. In order to satisfy these requirements process control measures for permit compliance and cost effective operation are needed. “Nitrification and Denitrification” provides a review of the organisms, biochemistry, and operational conditions that are essential for understanding nitrification and denitrification and its application to wastewater treatment in order to satisfy discharge requirements. In addition troubleshooting measures are provided in order to identify and correct undesired operational conditions.
