Description
This course is designed by PA DOT to ensure all roadway workzones are consistently designed to provide clear and precise direction to the traveling public to protect workers, pedestrians, and vehicular traffic. Consistent flagger signaling keeps confusion of traffic passing through the workzone to a minimum preventing injury to workers. All utilities doing work on and within right-of-ways of PA DOT roadways are to comply with PA DOT workzone requirements. This course provides those requirements.
PA American Water trains internal employees only utilizing the PA DOT program by permission of PA DOT.
Training is necessary for workers performing repairs in the transmission and distribution pipeline network throughout the service territory that fall within PA DOT requirements. IE: along state and municipal roadways, in berm and sidewalk roadway rights-of-way.
