Description
In this course we will begin with “What is Cross Bore Safety” and how the CBSA (Cross Bore Safety Association) has taken the lead in trying to educate and update people on this critical matter.
From there we will look at how to address Legacy Cross Bores, then New Construction, Post Construction and Emerging Tools and Technology. This will include use of GIS, GPS, Electromagnetism, Robotic Camera Trace in Recording the position of buried sewer lines. Once the data has been recorded and integrated into the mapping system how to use this information to make clear choices to better allocate scarce resources.
The course will conclude with current and proposed legislation dealing with Cross bore safety and the acronyms associated with the industry such as PHMSA, DIMP, GPTC, EUCA, NUCA, NAPSR, NASTT,NASSCO, NULCA, HDD, SLIP, AGA.
