Description
A pump is the second-most widely used mechanical device in the world, and permeates different levels of usage on a daily basis. In particular, a pump provides the backbone for the water/wastewater industry. Good pump application and maintenance will ensure proper process, and eliminate unnecessary shutdowns and/or overflows. This course will provide an overview on the basics of pump design and operation, including how to read and analyze pump performance curves and pumping system curves. Also covered will be pump applications, troubleshooting methods for continuous maintenance, and “tips and tricks” of designing a pumping system.
