Description
Every community with a sewer collection system has infiltration and inflow (I&I). As the system ages, the amount of I&I increases. Community programs to remove excessive I&I generally do not address sources from private property. The result is that excessive I&I will still plague their system. This lack of success is normally due to administrative, legal and financial concerns involved with repairs on private property. By the end of this course, the student will learn how to successfully plan and implement a program to remove excessive I&I from private property based on successes in other Pennsylvania communities.
