Description
This is a 36 hour review of the water distribution system, related groundwater production fundamentals and water quality issues. This course will cover the basic requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act, safety and general water distribution/pumping principles. You will not need any other materials for this course.

2. Understand and describe various backflow and cross-connection terms.
3. Understand and describe the disinfection process and explain how Chlorine disinfects and understand various Chlorine processes.
4. Understand and explain various water distribution/groundwater production pumps, motors and hydraulics/pumping terms.
5. Understand and describe various waterborne diseases and symptoms associated with the distribution system and sampling procedures.
6. Understand and describe various point-of-use treatment methods, RO, membrane filtration processes and examine the effects of hard water and water softening solutions.
