Lack of proper documentation and failure to understand and perform the recurring requirements related to the EPA Risk Management Program are among the most commonly noted areas of violation of the RMP standard resulting from an EPA inspection. After assisting our clients with EPA inspections for more than 10 years, MunicipalH2O has clearly defined what the EPA expects to be documented to address each element of the standard. With this experience, we developed this workshop designed to share our experience and help water and wastewater facility operators evaluate their RMPs to identify and correct deficiencies that could result in a citation in the event of an EPA or state inspection.

The course provides tips and resources on implementing the requirements of EPA Risk Management Program regulations in a manner that will satisfy EPA inspectors and improve the safety of your employees, the public, and the environment. • Learn the regulatory requirements of the EPA Risk Management Program standard and what to expect during an EPA inspection of your facility • Learn how to conduct an internal Compliance Audit of your facility using the EPA RMP Inspection Checklist to help ensure your facility remains in continuous compliance • Identify specific deficiencies that may exist in your Risk Management Program and how to correct them and be prepared for an EPA inspection • Learn about cost-effective tools and procedures that will help ensure future compliance

The course is designed for water and wastewater facility management, supervisors, engineers and operators who work at or for a water or wastewater system that uses chemical substances that are covered by the EPA Risk Management Program regulations. These chemicals include chlorine, sulfur dioxide, anhydrous ammonia, methane, and chlorine dioxide.
