Description
The RETTEW 8-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) First Responder Operations course provides an in-depth training towards the requirements of the HAZWOPER standard. Content reviewed in the course includes some of the most-cited OSHA violations, including Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) labeling, Protective Equipment selection, container identification, the Emergency Response Guidebook, material identification, and environmental monitoring. Training on incident command and control is included with a hands-on session to practice all of the discussed protocols. Also discussed is the new UN-sanctioned Globally Harmonized System, on which training is required to begin in 2013.
