Description
This course will give the wastewater operator an understanding of the bacteria that make up a typical activated sludge system. The student will gain an understanding of the needed environment he needs to maintain in order to host the appropriate micolife in the plant. Parameters such as Food to Microorganism Ratio and Mean Cell Residence Time will be discussed. Filamentous and foaming bacterial will be covered. Diagnostic and troubleshooting topics will also be covered
