Description
This workshop is designed to teach proper analytical techniques of corrosion control parameters in potable water. Parameters covered in this course include pH, conductivity, and hardness and alkalinity titrations. For each parameter, samples will be analyzed, and method verification will be discussed and practiced. These parameters will be used in the calculation of a Langelier's Index, from which the corrosion potential of a water can be determined. The course objectives will be met by presenting test theory, incorporating practical applications of analytical techniques with hands-on experience with testing systems. Students are required to analyze water samples of known and unknown values.
