Description
Biosolids Management at a WWTP is often the second largest O&M Expense. It is therefore critical to choose the optimal biosolids dewatering option to maximize solids concentrations and minimize ultimate disposal expense. This course will provide a review of dewatering technologies and teach participants a logical approach to choosing the best dewatering option for any WWTP. The course will touch on “tried and true” technologies as well as explore new emerging technologies that may have promise for smaller operations. One case study will be presented that demonstrates the use of the logical approach to choosing a unit.
