Description
There are various components and considerations which must be addressed in a distribution system. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce students to the various components of distribution components- the piping, pumps, storage facilities, valves, hydrants and meters. Students will also gain information with regard to pressure and head, energy loss, and flow demand. Routine and repair maintenance of a distribution system will also be addressed. Distribution disinfection will be covered in addition to waterborne diseases. Distribution system monitoring and sampling requirements will also be addressed. The goal of this workshop is to supply students with the necessary study materials for the distribution system certification examination.
