Description
To provide the water sector (drinking water, wastewater,and stormwater utilities) with the practical tools, training, and technical assistance needed to adapt to climate change by promoting a clear understanding of
climate science and adaptation options.

Course Content
This course: provides a background on climate change/extreme weather and the specific challenges facing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; exposes students to the five workshop planning steps (i.e., Develop Objectives, Invite Participants, Determine Logistics, Customize Material, And Develop a report); and presents adaptation and mitigation funding opportunities to participating utilities.
Target Audience
Water and wastewater utility staff, as well as state primacy personnel who are involved in preparedness, training, security, and/or resiliency at their utility/agency.
