Description
This course provides the participant with basic first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, along with use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), through video demonstration and hands-on practical exercises. Skills tests verify the knowledge of the participant.

Course Content
First Aid Basics (rescuer duties, safety, PPE, universal precautions, phoning for help, finding the problem & after the emergency)
Medical Emergenices (breathing problem, choking, severe allergic reactions, heart attack, fainting, stroke, low blood sugar, seizures & shock)
Injury Emergencies (bleeding you can see, wounds, bleeding you can't see, head/neck/spine injury, broken bones & sprains, burns & electrocution
Adult CPR/AED (compressions, giving breaths, breathing with a mask, assess & phone, using an AED)
Target Audience
Anyone who wants to be able to help an ill or injured person by utilizing their first aid and CPR/AED skills
