This course presents principles, laws, and formulas relating to basic direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) applications in electricity.

Course Content
Topics include electron theory, magnetism, DC power supplies, Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, Superposition Theory, AC waveform analysis, and resistive and inductive loads. Various electrical circuit layouts measurements and calculations are an integral part of this course.

This course is appropriate for anyone entering, or working in the wastewater or water treatment fields who wishes to acquire a knowledge of basic electrical concepts.
