Description
With the enactment of Pennsylvania Act 11 and the older age of many of the states certified opertors, the need for new well-trained qualified operators has increased. This course was funded by the EPA and designed by the Montana Water Center to train uncertified and new operators, new managers as well as governing board members in the basics of a public groundwater system. The course covers all the day-to-day activities and the physical and chemical factors involved in running a public drinking water utility. The course covers what skills are required and what regulations apply in producing quality potable water while ensuring that the public health and welfare of the community is protected.
