Description
“Activated Sludge” is class which will assist operators with operational troubleshooting strategies, and problem solving techniques for an Activated Sludge Process. This course will help operators understand control parameters to operate an Activated Sludge Process. The instructional material presented will explain the biochemical processes that can be utilized to remove specifically BOD and Ammonia. Control parameters to monitor the Activated Sludge Process will be introduced and explained. Measurements such as Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids and Dissolved Oxygen and their effect on the process will be discussed. The course will be specifically geared to making the operator understand the day to day adjustments of running an Activated Sludge plant.
