Description
The Drinking Water II course will introduce operators to the practical aspects of operating and maintaining water treatment plants.

Course Content
Topics covered will include drinking water regulations (including the Safe Drinking Water Act), iron and manganese control, fluoridation, softening, trihalomethanes, demineralization, handling and disposal of process wastes, maintenance, instrumentation, and advanced laboratory procedures. A laboratory component will allow students to gain hands on experience.

This course is appropriate for students who have taken Drinking Water I.
