Description
Practical instruction (Interactive) in real world applications regarding confined space entry. This instruction provides working background on the OSHA standard, identifying spaces and potential hazards and provides essential information on safe work practices. The simulated entry is intended to offer selected participants "hands on" experience in working with the equipment and making decisions on confined space entry to be safe.

* Definition of a confined space * Confined space entry program elements * Typical confined space entry hazards * Permit system and what is required on ther permit form * Use of technical resources to define potential hazards in confined spaces * Preparation of the space for entry * Emergency and rescue procedures * Training and duties of the confined space entry team * Atmospheric testing * Equipment required for entry, work and retrieval * Review of practical entry procedures including exceptions for sewer entry if certified by responsible / authorized persons * Mock entry conducted using techniques outlined above
