Description
Whether moving materials manually or mechanically, numerous injuries can result from improperly handling materials in the workplace. It is important to be aware of accidents that may occur from unsafe or improper work practices, and to recognize the methods for eliminating, or at least minimizing, the occurrence of those accidents. The frequency and economic impact of back injuries and disorders on the work force are expected to increase over the next several decades as the average age of the work force increases and medical costs go up.
