Description
The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) has developed this traffic flagger training course. This course is to educate workers about proper traffic control so they can protect not only themselves but also their co-workers and motorists when having to work on water and sewer lines on the traveling part of a public roadway or right of way.

Course Content
The contents of the course is to provide the required training of Penndot in Publication 408 and 213 that is mandated in Pennsylvania. This course covers typical figures and flagger visibility procedures. The course also emphasizes teaching work zone traffic guidelines and setups for typical municipal and utility work. Students that take and pass the required testing will recieve a flagger certification wallet card that expires in three (3) years from date of testing.
Target Audience
All personnel who has to provide traffic control as a flagger within a work zone on a public road or right of way as mandated by Penndot.
