Description
A basic training program in emergency care designed with the occupational provider in mind. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Bloodborne Pathogens along with the use of the AED and other emergency skills are combined into one course. Students learn the same priorities of care and approach to the patient used by professional emergency care providers. Emphasis is on safely identifying and managing life threatening medical emergencies. Training focuses on information assessment and skills that will protect life or prevent further injury during the interval between the incident and EMS arrival. The program follows OSHA requirement for workplace safety.
