Description
Treatment plants can be affected by contaminants from various types of stormwater runoff. The raw water quality pumped into a drinking water plant has a direct bearing on treatment procedures and costs. Wastewater plants can also be affected by stormwater issues on their property. This course details examples of pollution that operators face everyday, and relates stormwater to source water protection. Case studies and examples of stormwater management strategies used by water systems across Pennsylvania are highlighted for implementation by plant staff.
