This course has been taught at Del Tech since the Spring of 2001. The course as initially developed to give the distribution system operator the basic knowledge necessary to identify and maintain many of the valves used in a water distribution system. Subjects covered will include the different types of distribution system valves and their uses, proper valve operation methods, basic valve maintenance and troubleshooting and proper inspection and record-keeping techniques.
