Description
This class is designed to focus on the laboratory technology while referencing corresponding online/process instrumentation where applicable. The topics of colorimetry/spectrophotometry, pH, dissolved oxygen, and nutrients determinations will be discussed and then applied in a hands-on format. Class discussions will address functionality of the technology, instrument calibration and maintenance, and measurement techniques. Class time will combine lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice with instrumentation calibration techniques.

5 Steps of Analysis Disinfection – Chlorine test, Chlorination, & Chloramination Disinfection Lab – Free Chlorine vs.Total Chlorine, Monochloramine/ Standard Additions.
