Description
Provides water and wastewater operators instruction on emergency response, safety, reporting, and evacuation of company facilities in the event of a natural disaster, fire, bomb threat, or other emergency.

Course Content
• Identify the provisions of an employer’s emergency response plan
• Specify the purpose of a chain of command
• Specify the methods used to request emergency help
• Identify the actions to take if a fire or a hazardous material release occurs
• Specify the function of an emergency evacuation plan and circumstances for implementation
• Identify actions to take in the event of an earthquake, flood, tornado or hurricane
• Identify violent behavior warning signs, the components of a violence prevention plan, and how to report workplace violence
• Identify actions to take in the case of a bomb threat.
Target Audience
Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Risk Management Association client that are certified Pa. DEP water and wastewater operators.
