Description
This initial and three year refresher training is focused on Aqua employees involved with chlorination processes including operating Chlorine feed systems. Much of this training is also applicable to Sulfur Dioxide feed systems for water treatment plants. The content of this training also applies to locations using Sulfur Dioxide - exceptions will be noted. There are supplemental training materials, including Sulfur Dioxide Operating Procedures.

Course Content
• The purpose of training is to provide new operators with initial training on operating Chlorine systems and to provide refresher training that's required every three years to continue to operate these systems.
• The learning objectives include understanding Operating Procedures and safe work practices and maintaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely execute the current operating procedures.
• Every employee should receive separate Hazwoper 1st Responder Awareness Level initial or refresher training. However, some Hazwoper keypoints will reviewed in this training.
• Every employee should receive separate training on the facility's integrated contingency plan or emergency plan which serves as a response plan for chemical releases and other types of emergencies at water treatment plants. However, some key points will reviewed in this training.
• Every employee should receive separate hazard communication training on accessing and using safety data sheets, as well as
