Aqua America understands and values health and safety, and provides health and safety orientation for all new workers. This training is part of that health and safety orientation process. The specific purpose of the course is to provide new personnel with adequate basic safety training to effectively perform assigned duties and tasks in a safe manner and to according to company policies. The training provides employees with knowledge about their health and safety responsibilities - which are an important part of the new job. All new employees learn about potential hazards they may encounter in the workplace and how they can help protect themselves and their co-workers.

Basic thru Advanced

• The course provides training about the general safety duties of employers and workers and provides guidance on recognizing the basic types of workplace hazards. • Secondly, the course provides training about how workplace hazards are controlled and the steps workers can take to protect themselves. • Lastly, the course covers information about preparing for emergencies, understanding the basic elements of an occupational health and safety program, and providing specifics regarding who to ask when help is needed for health and safety matters.

All new Aqua employees should participate in this safety orientation training.
