Description
This course will provide an overview of the importance of nutrient monitoring and removal in water and wastewater. Nitrogen compounds, phosphate and total phosphorous will be analyzed via laboratory analysis, field methods, and process analyzers. We will also examine the role of dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, and alkalinity as it relates to efficient nutrient removal in wastewater treatment. Various demonstrations and analytical techniques will include colorimetric, electrochemistry, and titrations. A brief overview of BNR removal systems will also ve discussed
