Description
Water safety and water rescue procedures are necessary for projects and job functions that require employees to work in or near bodies of water, especially in situations that occur around water in general and perhaps in high or fast-moving waters, during storms and flooding, and around dams and other water hazards. Recognizing the need to address water safety and rescue issues, Aqua has created the Water Safety Awareness Program.

The Water Safety Awareness Program is intended to:
Provide guidelines for employees that might need to perform non-entry water rescues
Establish procedures to ensure proper preparation for water rescues
Outline some of the hazards involved in water rescues
Describe safety measures to mitigate water hazards
This Water Safety Awareness Program and its requirements apply to all personnel who might need to perform water rescues.
Target Audience
All Aqua employees that may be required to work in and around bodies of water during their day to day activities.
