Description
There is often a lot of confusion about pump test and water quality data generated during evaluation of a water well. This course will cover how to perform pump tests and explain what the data means and select pumps utilizing a pump curve. Pumping efficiency and energy costs will be evaluated and look at ways to drive pumping costs down. The pump test data will also be utilized to determine the characteristics of the well and the aquifer. This course will cover the water laws that govern water quality standards. Primary drinking water standards that can affect health will be covered as well as Secondary drinking water standards that affect the aesthetics of the water. The course will explore what the numbers mean on a water quality test and evaluate if water quality problems can be solved with well rehabilitation and maintenance or whether water treatment needs to be put in place.
