Description
This course was developed to educate water and wastewater operators about the basics of water treatment including clarification, filtration, disinfection, and corrosion control. It discusses the chemistry of chlorine and disinfection and chloramination. The measurement of turbidity is discussed including the current approved technologies employed. Ion selective measurement such as pH, fluoride, ammonia, and nitrate are discussed.
