Description
The two-day workshop is designed as a training exercise for engineering and other plant personnel in the application of BioWin. BioWin is very easy to learn. However, the most efficient way to get new users up to speed is through an intensive training course which covers BioWin as well as touches on various wastewater process aspects.
This introductory BioWin training course has the following format:
- Two day (16 hour) course.
- The course is hands-on and consists of a series of case studies designed to demonstrate BioWin features.
The orientation of the case studies leans towards nutrient removal systems, but many of the topics are quite general. An associated focus is wastewater characterization and estimation/measurement of these characteristics as well as nitrification rates.

Target Audience
This course is designed for people with little or no experience / background in using wastewater process simulation models. [However, our experience has shown that even individuals with experience benefit from attending and interacting with EnviroSim staff]. The goal of the course is to have attendees capable of developing and interpreting their own models.
